Care
Enjoy building, playing, and displaying your borrowed LEGO® set! All we ask in return is that you take care of each set as if it were your own. There are many more Borrow & Build members waiting to borrow that same set next. We include return instructions with each of our sets and ask you do the following before retuning:
- Ensure all pieces, components and minifigures are included (including instructions)
- Set to be returned in the same condition it was received
- Utilise the designated bags and boxes
- Notify us of any missing pieces
Delivery
Please double-check your address during subscription sign-up. If an address error results in a lost or damaged set, you will be charged the full retail price of the set.
All sets are securely packaged before shipping. Each set is delivered in designated Borrow & Build boxes, which includes instructions, return details, and some fun information for you to enjoy.
Returns
Every Borrow & Build set includes instructions with the step-by-step return process. Good news, it is super easy!
Return Process:
- Dismantle the LEGO® set into individual pieces.
- Place all pieces, minifigures, and instructions in the sealed bags provided
- Reuse the Borrow & Build box and parcel bag for sustainability. All you will need to do extra is seal the box and bag with parcel tape.
- Place the sealed box in the parcel bag and close it.
- You will have received your pre-paid postage label when you received your set (make sure you hang on to it). This is a Royal Mail Tracked 48 pre-paid label.
- Attach the pre-paid label to the parcel bag
- Pop it in to your nearest Royal Mail post office
- Once we have checked it, you can borrow again! You’ll receive an email to let you know you can get choosing your next Borrow & Build
Shipping
Our shipping fees reflect the actual cost of delivery—we don’t profit from them. A standard shipping fee of 4.99 applies per set and covers the return postage, payable at checkout.
Subscription Information
The number of sets you can borrow depends on your chosen subscription package:
Surprise:
- You can borrow one set at a time
- We select the set for you from our extensive inventory
Everyone:
- You can borrow one set at a time
- You select the set you want to borrow from our extensive inventory (based on current availability)
Ultimate:
- You can borrow two sets at any one time
- You select the sets you want to borrow from our extensive inventory (based on current availability)
For all subscriptions:
- You must have an active subscription in place, with up to date monthly payments made to borrow any of our sets
- The only additional fee you will pay is the postage fee per each set you borrow (this includes the pre-paid return postage label for you)
- You can borrow the sets for as long as you want. If you keep your set for longer than a month …. No problem! Your regular monthly subscription fee covers this.
- Your monthly subscription fee will continue, even if you have not got an active borrow.
- Subscriptions must be cancelled by yourself if you no longer want to have access to the Borrow and Build service and current set must have been returned and checked
Cancelling Your Subscription
We really don’t want to see you go, as we love having you as part of our Borrow and Build community. If you do want to cancel your subscription you must follow the below steps:
- You can cancel your subscription at any time after returning and clearing all borrowed sets
- If sets are not returned and you cancel your subscription, your account may be referred to debt management services.
- Subscriptions are unfortunately non refundable
- We reserve the right to cancel memberships at any time
Monthly subscription – Payments
We process your monthly subscription via a recurring card payment each month. Your “Account information” section on your profile will provide you with the specific dates, amount and frequency of when we will take the payment.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions you are allowing us to take monthly subscription payments as set out in the schedule on your account.

Renewals of Annual Plan subscriptions
Annual subscriptions renew automatically after 365 days to maintain uninterrupted service. If you no longer want to renew your annual subscription, please contact us at least 14 days prior to renewal and we will ensure the automatic renewal is cancelled. All sets must have been returned by the end of your annual subscription period. If sets exceed the annual subscription period and a set is still on loan without a further covering subscription in place, we reserve the right to pass your account to a debt management company. Annual subscriptions are non refundable.
Missing Pieces
If you happen to lose a piece during your build, please just let us know. We have a lot of reserve stock if this happens and it is much easier to resolve if we know of any missing pieces. We would much rather know and can look at options to replace the pieces. We check all our LEGO® sets on their return. If significant or rare pieces are missing, specific minifigures, or the equivalent to 10 grams, you will be charged for replacements based on up to date BrickLink prices, plus a £5 – £10 administration fee. Proof of pricing will always be provided. Your subscription will be paused until the balance for missing pieces is settled.
Borrow & Build Gift Card
Gift cards can only be used toward either monthly or annual subscription plans and cannot cover shipping costs. Refunds are not available for unused balances.
Privacy
Your privacy matters. Personal data is never shared and is protected under our Privacy Policy. Please see website for full Privacy Policy
Non-Payment Policy
If a subscription payment is missed:
- Your account will be suspended following the missed payment
- We will attempt to contact you within 14 days of missed payment to discuss options and look to resolve the issue (We require up to date payment of current monthly subscription and the return of the current set is our top priority to allow others to continue using the service and borrow it)
- If no contact, return of set or payment is made within 14 days of your defaulted subscription payment, we’ll send a further return label requiring sets to be returned within 7 days to avoid further fees and next steps
- If payment, return of set or contact is not made within 21 days of defaulted subscription payment days, you’ll receive a final invoice covering:
- Outstanding subscription fees
- Retail value of unreturned sets
- A £100 administration fee
- If unresolved after a total of 28 days following missed subscription fee and you are actively using the service, your account will be passed to a debt collection agency
Liability
We are not responsible for damages or issues related to the use of our products or services.
Some LEGO® sets contain small parts that are NOT suitable for and may pose a hazard to children under 3 years of age.
Price and Terms Changes
- Price changes will be communicated with at least 30 days’ notice.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue sets, services or subscriptions as necessary.
