What is Borrow & Build?

Borrow & Build is a LEGO® rental subscription service that lets you enjoy a range of LEGO® sets without the cost or clutter of buying. You borrow, build, play, return—and repeat! It’s LEGO® without limits.

How does the subscription work?

You pick a plan, and depending on your tier, you can borrow one or two sets at a time.

  • Surprise Plan: We pick the set for you.
  • Everyone Plan: You choose your set.
  • Epic Plan: Borrow two sets at once—your choice!

You can keep each set for as long as you like. Just remember, your monthly subscription continues even if you’re not currently borrowing a set.

What are the benefits of joining?
  • Access to an ever-growing library of LEGO® sets
  • No need to store large sets at home
  • Flat-rate monthly pricing
  • Super easy returns with prepaid postage
How do I sign up?
  • Easy! Just:

    1. Choose your subscription plan
    2. Set up your account and payment
    3. Start borrowing your first set!
Already have an account? Just log in and subscribe when you’re ready.
How do I return my set?

We’ve made returns as easy as possible:

  1. Take the build apart
  2. Pop the pieces, minifigures, and instructions into the bags we sent
  3. Repack the set using the same box and parcel bag
  4. Seal everything up, attach the prepaid return label, and drop it at any Royal Mail post office

We’ll email you once it’s received and checked—then it’s time to borrow again!

How long can I keep a set?

As long as you like! Your subscription continues each month. When you are ready for a new set; return and choose again!

What if I lose or damage a piece?

Life happens! Just let us know if a piece goes missing—we have lots of spares. For significant or rare missing parts (like minifigs or more than 10 grams of pieces), we may charge for replacements at BrickLink prices plus a small admin fee (£5–£10). You’ll always get a breakdown of any charges.

What do I need to do before returning my set?
  • Disassemble the set
  • Bag everything (pieces, instructions, minifigures)
  • Use the original Borrow & Build box and parcel bag
  • Seal it securely and attach the return label
  • Let us know about any missing pieces

This helps the next builder enjoy it just as much as you did!

When will I get my set?

We process your request the same or next working day. Sets are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48, so they should arrive within a few days.

Why is there a postage fee?

We charge a flat shipping fee of £4.99 per set to cover the round-trip postage, and we don’t make any profit from it. It helps us keep your subscription price lower overall.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes—you can cancel any time after returning all borrowed sets. Just log in to your account and follow the cancellation steps.
Please note:

  • Subscriptions are non-refundable
  • Your subscription will continue until cancellation is processed and sets are returned
  • Unreturned sets after cancellation may result in additional charges or debt collection
What happens if I miss a payment?

If your payment fails:

  • Your account is paused
  • We’ll contact you within 14 days to help you resolve it
Can children use Borrow & Build?

LEGO® is for everyone! That said, some sets contain small parts and may not be suitable for children under 3. Adult supervision is always a good idea for younger builders.

Are all the sets genuine LEGO®?

Absolutely—100%. All our sets are authentic LEGO® products, carefully checked and packed for you.

What if I entered the wrong delivery address?

Double-check your address when signing up! If a mistake causes a set to be lost or damaged, you may be responsible for covering the retail cost of the set.

Can I sell my LEGO® sets to you?

Possibly! If you’ve got high-quality sets in great condition, drop us a message—we’re always happy to take a look.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! Our gift cards can be used toward monthly or annual subscription plans (but not shipping costs). They’re non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

How do annual subscriptions work?

Annual subscriptions renew automatically after 365 days. If you don’t want to renew, just let us know at least 14 days before renewal.
